At AESI, we take care of our team. Our contractors are W-2 employees and may be eligible for a full suite of benefits, including the following:
Health, Dental and Vision Care Coverage
All full-time employees [contractors who complete an average of thirty (30) or more hours a week] are eligible to participate in AESI’s Health, Dental and Vision plans. A choice of quality health plans are available.
Health, Dental and Vision benefit becomes effective on the first of the month following a 30-day waiting period. For these benefits, AESI will pay 50% of the premium. The balance can be automatically deducted through payroll after you are enrolled in the plan.
Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Long Term Disability (LTD) Coverage
All full-time employees [contractors who complete an average of thirty (30) or more hours a week] are eligible to participate in AESI’s Life, AD&D, and LTD insurance plans.
Each full-time employee may elect to be covered by Group Term Life Insurance. This insurance is payable in the event of your death from any covered cause, at any time or place, while you are employed by AESI. Payment will be made to your beneficiary, as designated by you.
As part of the life insurance, each full-time employee is covered by an additional Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance plan. This insurance is payable in the event of a loss of life, limb, or sight as a result of accidental injury, while you are employed by AESI. Payment will be made to your beneficiary, as designated by you.
If the employee chooses to be covered by Life Insurance and AD&D, the employee is also covered by a Long-term Disability (LTD) insurance plan. This plan is designed to act as a safety net, to provide you with a level of income when you are totally disabled and cannot work.
Employees are eligible for these benefits on the first of the month following a 30-day waiting period.
Flexible Compensation Cafeteria Plan (Section 125 Plan)
This plan allows you to pay for various types of medical, dependent care and other qualified expenses with pre-tax dollars. By using pre-tax dollars for these expenses you can in effect lower your state and federal tax brackets. AESI offers three levels of the Flexible Compensation Cafeteria Plan, examples of these expenses that can be paid through the Plan are as follows:
- Group Medical Insurance Premiums through AESI sponsored plan.
- Health Expenses, which are not reimbursed such as medical deductibles, medical co-payments, vision care, eyeglasses, chiropractor care, prescription drugs, routine exams as well as anything that is required by your doctor. Maximum benefit of $2,500 per year.
- Dependent Care Assistance such as Daycare. Maximum benefit of $5,000 per year ($2,500 in case of a married individual filing separately).
Our Flexible Compensation Cafeteria Plan has a waiting period of only thirty (30) days after your first day of work with AESI. Enrollment is offered on the first of every month for all employees. Note: You do not have to elect health and dental insurance through AESI to be eligible for this benefit.
401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
AESI offers a premier 401(k) plan through The Hartford. This plan will allow you to save money on a pre-tax basis (maximum amount is regulated yearly by the government) and the earnings on these investments are tax deferred. Our 401(k) plan has a waiting period of six (6) months after your first day of employment with AESI. Enrollment is offered on a quarterly basis (January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st)
The AESI 401(k) Plan provides for an automatic deferral feature. Thus, if you do not specifically elect an alternative deferral amount (including zero), we will automatically withhold 3% from your paycheck each pay period and deposit that amount into the Plan as a salary deferral. This is called your “automatic contribution rate”. If you wish to defer a greater or lesser amount (including no deferral), you must complete a Salary Deferral Election form designating a different percentage of deferral.
Referral Bonus Plan
AESI offers referral bonuses to any team members referring a candidate who is successfully hired. Referrals can be professional or personal.
